It has just been learnt that Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan Mr. Nasir Saeed Shaikh has resigned just a while ago to mark his protest against handling of CJP’s case. He has sent his resignation’s copy to the President.
Talking to BBC’s Urdu Service in Islamabad, Mr. Shaikh said that he is unable to perform his duties under the current circusmstances. He also said that whatever is going on with the law, lawyers, judges, justices and the apex courts in the country for last some days is beyond his imagination – hence he can’t continue to defend the government.
Yesterday, Lahore High Court’s Judge, Justice Khawaj Jawad and 6 civil judges of Sindh province have also resigned from their duties.
Mr. Nasir Saeed Shaikh was representing Govt of Pakistan in a hearing filed in Supereme Court of Pakistan about missing of several hundered people in country.
